Shachar Peles, M.D.
Dr. Shachar Peles is a native of South Africa and is board certified in hematology, medical oncology, and internal medicine.
Dr. Peles graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, where he earned numerous awards and scholarships.
He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and a three-year fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Barnes Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Peles received an ASCO merit award in 2006 for his research on multiple myeloma. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation.
