Avram Smukler, M.D.
Dr. Avram Smukler is a native of Johannesburg, South Africa, and is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology. He is an associate member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Smukler completed a three-year fellowship in hematology and oncology at Washington University and Barnes/Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He fulfilled his internship and residency in internal medicine at St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis.
Dr. Smukler received a bachelor of science with honors in medical biochemistry and his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa.
Dr. Smukler has presented original cancer research at a number of medical conferences and has also contributed to oncology publications including Contemporary Oncology and Current Opinion in Oncology. He was previously a member of the Fellow's Oncology Advisory Board of Eli Lilly and Company.
