Daniel Spitz, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Dr. Daniel Spitz is the co-director of the gynecologic oncology program at the Palm Beach Cancer Institute and is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology.  His research interests have focused on the diseases of chronic lymphocytic leukemia and ovarian cancer.

Dr. Spitz earned his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina.  He completed his fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at New York University and Bellvue Medical Center in New York as an American Cancer Society Fellow. He was also a post-doctoral fellow in immunology at the Irvington House Institute in New York City.

He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Gynecology Oncology Group, the Palm Beach Medical Society and he has served on the board of directors for the Palm Beach County chapter of the American Cancer Society and the national Medical Advisory Board of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Palm Beach chapter.

He is presently the cancer liaison from Wellington Regional Hospital to the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, and was recently appointed Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
